Today is Day One for me in the LISTERINE 21 Day Challenge. Will you join me?
After learning that brushing misses 75% of your mouth I knew I was missing something. Here’s my regular routine: brushing 2-3 times a day, flossing daily (if I remember on late and tired nights) and using mouthwash when I have extra time or after eating something especially spicy or full of garlic. While my teeth look clean, my oral hygiene habits are definitely lacking in several departments. Once I heard about the LISTERINE 21 Day Challenge to swish twice a day for 21 days, I was excited to join in and have this as a springboard to better oral and dental health.

I chose Organizational Expert, Peter Walsh, who’s aim is to help use organizational tips to help people lead richer lives. With two busy kids, work and an active lifestyle, being short on time often leads me to be more disorganized than I’d like. I’m hoping Peter can inspire me to take better care of myself and help me become more organized in the process! Other coach options include experts in fitness and nutrition.

I love the LISTERINE brand of products and was thrilled to find so many different products at Walgreen’s past their trademark mouthwash that fit my whole family’s needs. My kids like to use what Mommy uses, so I was happy to find minty fresh dental floss and toothpaste so we can all use the same products together, and they just all happen to “match” which I’m secretly hoping scores me points with my Organizational Coach.
Why is this challenge important to me? Because I too often skimp on time for myself – on pampering, the extra minutes of sleep I could use to be more recharged and refreshed, on those moments that I used to indulge in before having kids. I think this is a problem so many moms face. We give every minute of our time to our families and to others but at the end of the day often feel drained and worn out because we don’t spend time on ourselves. I am looking forward to adding these small changes to my daily routine to take better care of me. They will also set an example for my daughter that it is important to carve time out of your schedule to take care of yourself. That taking care of your body is a priority and something not to be skipped over!
