As my daughters seventh birthday approached this year, I asked her what she wanted for her birthday. “An American Girl doll and a spa party! A spa party, Mommy! Please?” After how much fun her girls-only spa party was last year with Little Miss Spa Parties, how could I resist? You can read all about her party and details on the fun on this blog post and also about spa party planning tips here!
Here is the recap of this year’s party, a tad more “sophisticated” for a now 7-year old and the dish on what’s new with the world of spa parties at Little Miss Spa Party!
While nails were always dazzling, Little Miss Spa parties now offers more design options for manicures! On trend at the party were wild polish combinations and animal stripes!
In addition to fruity chocolate facials, mini-manicures, mini-pedicures, spa robes with spa (or fun pop music to suit the mood), the girls also had a make-up station this year. I have to say, it was such a hit! You could tell most of the girls were in awe of actually getting to put on real make-up and they loved the assortment of sparkly eye shadows and shimmery lip glosses. One girl even put the eye shadow on under her eyes instead of the eye lids, despite my insisting they went the other way. It was a bit silly! I liked the option of the make-up station as much as I enjoyed the bracelet making station last year, and there was no mess afterwards to clean up!
The girls also got fun glitter tattoos that were customized and put on their arms or hands. The girls could pick out which design they liked and the color of glitter, and the spa artists applied them for them! Aren’t they adorable?
A great addition to my daughters party this year was her specially made Little Miss Spa Party Cake by Cakes by Tracy and Malloree. Our spa themed cake was a delicious chocolate with buttercream icing and fondant stripes. You can personalize the cake in either leopard or zebra stripes and in either light pink, hot pink, or purple. Check out my daughter’s birthday cake below! It was absolutely delicious and I loved that I didn’t have to run to the bakery to pick one up. Everything was edible on the cake including the adorable little spa girl, flip flops, and nail polish bottle! Please note: Tracy and Malloree only do a finite number of cakes per week so please call in advance to book!
Mommy Entourage loves supporting local businesses and we hope you will check out Little Miss Spa Parties for your daughter’s next birthday. They truly do a great job from start to finish and are very professional! I loved seeing my daughter so very happy and was delighted that her friends had an afternoon to remember!
