Recent research showed McDonalds that kids and parents want to see more seafood options on kids’ meals. As far as I can remember, I have never seen a major fast food chain offer a kid option for a fish entree or snack. For a limited time, and perfectly timed with Lent, McDonalds is offering their Fish McBites through March 31st.
My daughter had McDonalds Fish McBites this afternoon. She had an appointment right after school and I wanted something I could pick up for her that she would enjoy and that wouldn’t make a big mess in my car if she had to eat on the go. They are small enough to pop in your mouth or for a younger child to eat in two bites. My kids like fish sticks so these were a big hit. They taste a lot like what is currently available from large name brands at the grocery store but they are served hot and toasty.
Available in a kids meal option, you can order these with 1% low-fat white milk or apple juice and not feel any of that “mom guilt” over serving your kids a fast-food meal. In my opinion, it is all about moderation and I love to see the crisp new salads and healthier options available for conscious moms like me!
